POSITION 

Human Resources Coordinator (2)

REQUIREMENTS

This position will be filled according to Civil Service rules on a Provisional appointment. 

LOCATION

Board of Education 

DUTIES

  • Functions as a liaison between Personnel Department and District staff and interprets policies, rules and regulations.

  • Maintains familiarity with various kinds of instructional programs offered and coordinates with Assistant Superintendents, principals and directors on staffing levels and recruitment for vacant positions.  

  • Assists in the recruitment,  interviewing, and selection of candidates, and verifies salary step placement, tenure area and probationary period for new hires.

  • Assists in calculation of stipends

  • Ensures accuracy of personnel related items appearing on board agenda

SALARY

Salary will be determined according to contractual agreement.

Job Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with a Master’s Degree in Business, Education, Human Resources or related field and one (1) year of experience involving the administration or management of personnel related functions and transactions; OR

  1. Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Education, Human Resources or related field and two (2) years of experience as outlined in (A) above; OR

  1. Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with a business related Associate’s Degree and ten (10) years of experience as outlined in (A) above.
