| DUTIES | -
Functions as a liaison between Personnel Department and District staff and interprets policies, rules and regulations. -
Maintains familiarity with various kinds of instructional programs offered and coordinates with Assistant Superintendents, principals and directors on staffing levels and recruitment for vacant positions. -
Assists in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of candidates, and verifies salary step placement, tenure area and probationary period for new hires. -
Assists in calculation of stipends -
Ensures accuracy of personnel related items appearing on board agenda -
Conducts audits to verify that NYS Department of Education certificates are current for certified staff and communicates status and timelines for compliance as appropriate. -
Conducts audits to verify that NYS licenses are current for civil service staff and communicates status and timelines for compliance as appropriate. -
Collects data for financial projections for contract negotiation, salary reviews, and prepares reports and documents required by the NYS Department of Education (i.e BEDS, etc) and the Middletown Civil Service Commission |
