REQUIREMENTS

  • Current New York State School Building Leader (SBL)

  • Minimum of five years of successful and effective full-time special education teaching experience required

DUTIES

IEP Case Management for CPSE and CSE Processes, Protocols and Procedures connected to NYS Part 200 and IEP development:

  • Participation (Lead Role) in CPSE/CSE Meetings

  • Design and implement Professional Development Opportunities 

  • Site Visits to In and Out of District Placements

  • Complete Special Education Academic Evaluations 

  • Ensure district special education staff are in compliance with IDEA

  • Forge partnerships and trust with other district departments, principals, school teams, and community stakeholders.

  • Perform additional duties as may be assigned by the Director of Special Education, Assistant Director of Special Education, and/or the Superintendent of Schools.

SALARY

Pursuant to the Middletown School Administrators Association (MSAA) Contract

Senior Clerk (Multiple Positions)

REQUIREMENTS

  • Possession of a standard high school or high school equivalency diploma and two years of clerical experience.

  • This position will be filled according to Civil Service rules by a temporary appointment pending Civil Service Examination.

DUTIES

  • Ensures the accuracy and completeness of papers and forms presented for filing, recording or other action. Assembles a variety of data from office records for incorporation into various reports. 

  • Reviews accounts, reports and other documents for completeness, accuracy and conformity with established procedures. Prepares, and assists in, proofreading typewritten and printed materials.

  • Use various computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail and database software in performing work assignments. Operates varied office equipment. 

  • Maintains a daily calendar of activities for the department, building or administrator. 

  • Customary duties associated with the position

SALARY

Salary will be determined according to the MECA Bargaining Unit Agreement.
