Assistant Principal Case Manager Special Services

STATUS

Probationary

CERTIFICATION

Applicant must have appropriate NYS Certification as a School Building Leader

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current New York State School Building Leader (SBL);

  • Masters Degree from accredited Institution; 

  • Minimum of five years of successful and effective full-time special education teaching experience required

DUTIES

IEP Case Management for CPSE and CSE Processes, Protocols and Procedures connected to NYS Part 200 and IEP development:

  • Participation (Lead Role) in CPSE/CSE Meetings

  • Design and implement Professional Development Opportunities 

  • Site Visits to In and Out of District Placements

  • Complete Special Education Academic Evaluations 

  • Ensure district special education staff are in compliance with IDEA

  • Forge partnerships and trust with other district departments, principals, school teams, and community stakeholders.

  • Perform additional duties as may be assigned by the Director of Special Education, Assistant Director of Special Education, and/or the Superintendent of Schools.

SALARY

Pursuant to the Middletown School Administrators Association (MSAA) Contract
